Job Description: Seasonal Content Creator (Social Media & Video)

Location: Ontario (In-person travel required weekly to Purposeful Golf locations: Tottenham, Innisfil, and Parry Sound)

Reports to: Manager, Marketing & Design

Job Type: Hourly, Seasonal (Peak Golf Season)

As the Seasonal Content Creator (Social Media & Video) at Purposeful, you will help bring our golf properties to life through high-quality, engaging content that builds excitement, grows our audience, and supports key business priorities throughout peak season. Working closely with the Marketing team and on-site course leaders, you’ll capture and create short-form video and photo content across our three courses, turning real moments into reels and videos that reflect the experience, energy, and standards of Purposeful Golf.

This role is hands-on, fast-moving, and highly collaborative. You’ll be on-site regularly to film and shoot content, travel between locations as needed, and work cross-functionally with teams like golf operations, events, and food and beverage to capture the right moments at the right time. Key Responsibilities: 

• Capture and create short-form video content for social platforms (Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts).
• Plan, shoot, and edit weekly content aligned to marketing priorities (campaigns, events, seasonal moments, offers).
• Travel weekly to Purposeful Golf locations to capture content on-course and around the property.
• Create consistent, high-quality content that reflects brand standards and helps elevate the look and feel of our social presence.
• Capture a mix of:
• golf action + course beauty shots
• clubhouse / food & beverage content
• guest experience & events
• behind-the-scenes team moments
• seasonal highlights and storytelling
• Operate and capture drone footage (where permitted and safe) and edit into high-impact social content.
• Support social publishing and coordination with the marketing team (content scheduling, asset handoff, content requests).
• Engage with followers through comments and messages, helping build an active online community and strengthening the connection to our brands.
• Track performance basics (views, engagement, saves, follower growth) and adjust content style based on what's working.
• Maintain an organized content library so footage is easy to find and reusable throughout the season.

Qualifications: 

• 1–2 year’s experience creating social content (or equivalent portfolio demonstrating strong results).
• Proven ability to create engaging short-form video (Reels/TikTok style), including strong hooks, pacing, and editing.
• Confident filming on location and capturing content in real time (events, busy clubhouse moments, on-course content).
• Experience flying a drone is an asset
• Basic editing skills using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar.
• An eye for visuals, storytelling, composition, and lighting.
• Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (travel between locations is required).
• Portfolio required (social channels, videos, or a reel is totally acceptable).

Work Conditions: 

• This is a hourly seasonal position during peak golf months. Guaranteed 20 hours a week with the potential of 40 hours depending on demand. 
• The role requires weekly travel between Purposeful Golf locations in Tottenham, Innisfil, and Parry Sound to capture content on-site.
• Work is a mix of:
• • on-location filming/photography (outdoors, walking the property, standing for extended periods, carrying gear)
  • computer-based editing and content preparation
• Schedule is primarily weekday-based, with occasional evening or weekend availability required for events, tournaments, promotions, or time-sensitive content needs.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions and adapting to a fast-paced environment.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for travel between locations.
