About the role:  As the Lead Server at Manitou Ridge, you’ll model high service standards and provide a polished dining experience while supporting daily front-of-house operations. You will act as a key resource for the serving team, assisting with service flow and operational adjustments as directed by FOH leadership. This role bridges the gap between staff and management, maintaining a professional, guest-focused environment through increased responsibility and organizational support.

What you’ll do: 

  • Support the Front of House Manager and Assistant FOH Manager in maintaining consistent service standards and a professional, team-oriented environment aligned with Purposeful Golf’s Core Values.
  • Lead by example during service, demonstrating strong execution, awareness, and a high standard of hospitality without assuming a management role.
  • Act as a point of support for the serving team, assisting with operational tasks such as bill adjustments, voids, and discounts accurately and efficiently. 
  • Help maintain smooth service by stepping in to support teammates and addressing minor issues as they arise, escalating anything beyond scope to management.
  • Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with members, guests, and colleagues to support a strong overall service experience.
  • Take responsibility for an assigned area of the operation (e.g., reservations or service support systems), ensuring it remains organized and functions effectively under the direction of FOH leadership.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and readiness of dining areas throughout service.
  • Address routine guest concerns with professionalism, ensuring management is involved when needed.
  • Follow all health & safety, and SMART SERVE regulations consistently.
  • Complete end-of-day responsibilities, including closing procedures and securing the building.

What you bring: 

  • Previous server experience in high-volume hospitality or golf course environment.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and liquor regulations (SMART SERVE certification required).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.


What You Need: 

  • Must have a flexible working schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends
  • Fast-paced environment with exposure to indoor dining, outdoor patios, and event spaces.
  • Collaborative cross-functional teamwork with kitchen, management, vendors, and other departments.
  • Physical demands include standing for long periods, assisting with event setup, and lifting or moving equipment as required.
  • Comfortable working in a remote, peaceful, cottage-country environment.
  • Reliable transportation to and from Manitou Ridge Golf Club.

Compensation:

  • $18.60 per hour, plus gratuities
