About the role: As a Bartender at Manitou Ridge, you’ll deliver a high-quality, guest & member-focused experience by crafting exceptional beverages and providing personalized, attentive service. You’ill maintain deep menu knowledge and collaborate with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure accurate, timely, and polished service across all dining environments. Beyond the bar, you will support a seamless club experience by maintaining a professional, organized workspace and assisting with lounge or reservation duties as needed.
Purpose Statement:
What you’ll do:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest requests.
- Deliver attentive, personalized service, engaging with guests, taking orders, and fulfilling guest requests.
- Manage bar inventory, restock supplies, and track liquor levels to ensure the bar is consistently well- stocked.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils and equipment, ensuring a pristine and efficient workplace.
- Uphold club policies, health and safety standards, and SMART SERVE regulations, reflecting the organization’s prestige and core values.
- Monitor guest behaviour, identifying signs of intoxication, and ensure compliance with alcohol service regulations.
- Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to maintain smooth operations and enhance the overall guest experience.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support surrounding service areas when servers are unavailable, ensuring seamless guest service.
- Answer phones and take reservations professionally and courteously.
- Learn and share knowledge of the club’s wine program, cocktails, and signature beverages to enrich the guest experience
- Assist with operational tasks, such as restocking, setup, or closing procedures, as needed to maintain efficiency.
What you bring:
- Ability to confidently make beverage recommendations to guests, suggesting unique pairings and seasonal specials.
- Knowledge of classic and modern cocktails, wine, spirits, and craft beers, with a willingness to learn about the club’s wine program, signature cocktails and seasonal drink offerings.
- Strong customer service skills with a polished, professional and guest-focused approach.
- Knowledge of health, safety and liquor regulations (SMART SERVE certification required)
- Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and service consistency.
- Ability to confidently explain and recommend menu items, beverages and specials.

- Must have a flexible working schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Reliable transportation to and from Manitou Ridge Golf Club.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, holidays and peak-season events.
- Fast-paced environment with exposure to indoor dining, outdoor patio, and event spaces.
- Collaborative, team oriented work environment.
- Physical demands include standing for extended periods, assisting with event setup, and lifting or moving trays, equipment, or supplies as required.
- Comfortable working in a remote, relaxed, cottage-country setting with a focus on member and guest hospitality.

Compensation:
- $17.60 per hour
- $16.60 per hour (students)
