About the role: The Director of Golf Operations leads and develops the golf operations department at our new addition in Tottenham, delivering a memorable, inclusive, and guest-focused experience while demonstrating Purposeful’s core values in all aspects of leadership. This hands-on role oversees day-to-day operations, tournaments, leagues, and group events, while growing business through sales and retention. The role also provides oversight of golf leaders at other clubs, standardizing systems and processes, managing budgets, and collaborating across the organization to maximize value. While primarily based in Tottenham, the role includes regular engagement at other clubs to ensure a cohesive, high-performing Golf Operations department.

Purpose Statement: To curate a fresh, welcoming and engaging golf experience while providing structure and leadership to our golf operations function.

What you’ll do: 

  • Lead and develop the golf operations department at the new course in Tottenham, creating a unique, inclusive, and fun guest experience.
  • Ensure every guest feels welcomed and enjoys a level of service beyond the value of their green fee.
  • Oversee smooth daily operations and the execution of tournaments, leagues, and group events.
  • Grow tournament rounds, league participation, and outing business through sales and retention strategies.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to golf leaders at other clubs, standardizing systems and processes to ensure consistent operations across the organization.
  • Manage Golf Operations budgets, control costs, and collaborate with colleagues across Purposeful Golf to maximize value for all clubs.
  • Partner with the Director of Business Development to deliver a cohesive, differentiated golf product.
  • Spend most of your time in Tottenham, with regular visits (about one day per week) to other clubs to ensure a high-performing, integrated Golf Operations team.

What you bring: 

  • Proven experience as a golf operations leader with a track record of challenging the status quo to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • A hospitality-focused mindset with a strong commitment to consistency, culture, and team development.
  • Excellent change management skills, with the ability to lead teams through growth, evolution, and process improvement.
  • Leadership experience at both the club level and within multi-course operations.
  • Ideally, a CPGA Class A Professional designation.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills to drive operational excellence and business growth.

What You’ll Need: 

  • Must have a flexible working schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow)
  • Comfort with a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work strategically as well as part of the operations/hospitality team
  • Physical stamina for walking the course, standing for long periods, lifting, bending, and carrying.

Compensation: $100,000 - 120,000
