About the role: As the Assistant Golf Professional at National Pines Golf Club, you will report to the Director of Golf. This role plays an integral role in delivering exceptional service to Members and their guests. The Assistant Golf Professional supports the daily operations of the Golf Shop, Member and guest services, and will also play a pivotal role in the organization and execution of all leagues and events. National Pines fosters a collaborative team environment, where every team member contributes to delivering memorable golfing experiences.
Purpose Statement: To enhance the Member and guest experience by providing excellent service and operational support that enables the Golf Department and the broader organization to deliver exceptional golfing experiences.
What you’ll do:
- Deliver an exceptional golf experience for Members and their guests through warm, professional, and attentive service
- Support daily Golf Shop operations, including tee time reservations, merchandising, inventory control, and Member services
- Assist with the planning, promotion, and execution of club events, leagues, and outside tournaments
- Build strong relationships with Members through frequent play, private lessons, and group clinics
- Provide basic club repair services, such as regripping and minor adjustments
- Contribute to the overall success of the Golf Department by supporting additional duties and initiatives as needed
What you bring:
- PGA of Canada Member in good standing, or currently enrolled in / graduated from a PGM program
- A service-driven mindset with strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail in daily operations
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented private club environment
- A strong desire to grow, learn, and develop as a Golf Professional
- Previous experience in a private golf club is an asset
- Familiarity with Golf Genius Tournament Software and Jonas is an asset

What You’ll Need:
- Must have a flexible working schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow)
- Comfort with both fast-paced service days and slower periods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina for walking the course, standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 lbs, bending, and carrying equipment
Compensation:
- $900–$1,100 weekly, based on credentials and experience
- Year-End Bonus: TBD
- Lesson Revenue: Retain 90% of revenue
- $600 Clothing allowance in National Pines Golf Shop
- PGA Canada dues reimbursement
