Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Co-op Intern to join our team. This role will primarily focus on assisting with in-studio production tasks and photo editing. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual with a passion for photography and a keen eye for aesthetics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform photo editing tasks, including color correction, retouching, and cropping
- Use insightful judgment to select the most impactful and all must have images
- Prioritize image editing and selections with consideration for our marketplace and customers.
- Evaluate images with consideration for key attributes including composition, lighting, story narrative, unique style
- Editing the images in the ‘Mango Style,’ ensuring they are telling a story, and prepare them for delivery
- Collaborate with the photography team to ensure consistency and quality in all images
- Assisting the production team with administrative work such as updating key items on Monday.com, logging e-shoots, billing for additional hours, and handling external customer service.
- Answering phone calls
- Monitoring and reminding the team of meetings, USB/Album pick-ups, and reveal presentations.
- Preparing Thank You cards and USB boxes/keys.
- Retrieving and archiving RAW files, freeing up server space, and maintaining studio production equipment.
- Help maintain the studio space, ensuring it is clean and organized
- Assist with other in-studio production tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a photography, visual arts, or related program
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Lightroom
- Basic understanding of photography principles and techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
- Previous experience in a photography studio is a plus but not required
