We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Systems Administrator to provide Level 3 Technical Support to our customer using a suite of tools designed to provide a seamless remote support experience for the end users.

What you will do:
- Oversee the daily operation of the Technology Operations server and network stack
- Assist with or responsible for with moderate supervision:
- The administration of core technology systems and systems security tasks including security scanning, patching, and systems hardening
- Incident Management of all Technology Services
- The deployment of internal applications for company-wide user base
- The upgrading and maintaining of physical networking kit at Office and Branch Locations
- The support and maintenance in configuring, creating, and maintaining monitoring tools and reporting
- The support and maintenance of:
- Cloud Infrastructure
- Security Infrastructure
- Productivity Suite
- Company Messaging Tools (Email, Microsoft Teams)
- Mobile Device Management
- Identify Management
- Perform remote troubleshooting of hardware and software issues at Office and Branch locations
- Provide Level 3 support for Technology operations and Service Desk Teams
- Document and Maintain Technology Operations Information Documentation
- Document and Maintain Technology Operations Training Documentation
- Conduct Knowledge Transfer/Knowledge Sharing of technical support to Service Desk, Site Support and other members of the ITS team as required
- Document technology playbooks and runbooks in support of Production, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity scenarios
- Provide After-Hours support for high priority incidents and issues as defined by Department SLA’s

- University or post graduate level education in computer science, business or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required
- Background in IT Infrastructure technology fundamentals such as:
- Server Technologies & Management – MS Server, Active Directory, PowerShell
- Scripting & IT Automation languages & Processes
- Virtualization Technologies – Microsoft, VMWare
- Storage Technologies – SAN, NAS, Storage Virtualization
- Network Technologies & Protocols – Routing & Switching, WAN,LAN, WLAN
- Security Technologies – Firewalls, IDP/IDS, SIEM
- Network Monitoring Solutions (Solarwinds, PerfMon, PRTG)
- Operating Systems (Windows OS - Server 2008 to 2019, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu)
- Advanced proficiency in networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, Routing, MPLS, VPN, etc.)
- Cloud Services (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
- Proficiency in Web Servers, IIS
- Identity Management Solutions (Active Directory, Azure AD, ADFS)
- Phone Systems and Conferencing Technologies (SIP, VoIP, PRI)
- 5+ years’ experience as a Systems Administrator
- 2+ years’ experience with Windows
- 1+ years’ experience with Azure
- 1+ years’ experience with GCP
- Practical experience with public, private hosted or hybrid Cloud Services Architecture (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Experience with Software Development technologies (such as Microsoft .NET, Adobe ColdFusion, Postgres SQL, MySQL, NetSuite) considered an asset
- In-depth knowledge of I.T. Infrastructure Systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Products, including Office 365, SharePoint, Teams etc
- Understanding of ITIL and concepts (specifically Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management and Release Management)
- Ability to automate simple and repetitive tasks
- Demonstrated experience in the development, testing, implementation, integration, maintenance, and support of in-house developed applications
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong troubleshooting skillset
- Ability to assimilate, analyze and facilitate information sharing
- Demonstrated success working in a team-based environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and accountability
- Ability to manage and implement small projects and enhancements
- Organized, diligent, and able to track and manage multiple streams of information on an ongoing basis
- Exposure to SDLCs (RUP, Waterfall, and Agile) and full life cycle development
