You will work with IT Systems Supervisor on supporting day-to-day needs of the team and clients. All you need to bring with you is solution focused approach and desire to help others.

The role day to day:

  • Positively represent the company in the community
  • Provide desktop support services for local and remote employees with software and hardware issues
  • Provide support for local and remote employees with cellphones, laptops, tablets, and other mobile devices
  • Handle account creation, hardware provisioning and software setup for new employees
  • Provide employee training for internal software and hardware
  • Create and update internal training materials
  • Provide support at head office for server hardware and software related to IT
  • Provide support at all offices for desktop hardware, network infrastructure, printers & copiers, security cameras and other equipment related to IT
  • Assist other departments with projects that contain an IT component
  • Project work related to software development, database development, website development and other internal projects with an IT component
  • Provide remote and on-site IT support for clients
  • Handle planning, purchasing, and provisioning of client hardware and software
  • Handle confidential information with complete discretion

Experience & Qualifications

  • Enthusiasm for working with people and systems
  • Post-secondary education in IT or an equivalent of experience in IT field
  • 1+ year of experience in customer service field
  • Excellent working knowledge of Windows 10 and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policies, SQL Server and DNS
  • Familiarity with computer networks (Firewall, Switch, VLAN, VPN, Shared folder)
  • Basic knowledge of computer programming (JavaScript, HTML)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean criminal record check
  • Ability to handle multiple things going on at once including multitasking, meeting deadlines and maintaining clear communication with the team and clients

Position Details:

  • Full-time, permanent position
  • $40-50,000 annually to start
  • Must be able to work out of both Victoria and Westshore offices based on operational needs
  • Occasional day/over-night trips required to our branch offices (including Nanaimo and Courtenay)
  • Flexibility in work hours required. Some work/updates are required to be performed outside of business hours or on the weekends based on operational needs
