The role day to day:

  • Consistently demonstrate customer service excellence and help people
  • Set objectives and create systems to continue developing and growing Rental department as an individual business unit within the company (business within a business)
  • Support development of the team through effective mentoring and coaching
  • Create a strategy to boost growth of the rental portfolio
  • Develop relationships to bring new business opportunities
  • Work closely with developers to support on-boarding and leasing of the properties
  • Manage a portfolio of properties including onboarding perspective tenants, working with existing tenants on occurring issues and maintaining communication with building owners
  • Managing operating expenses and budgets

Experience & Qualifications

  • Enthusiasm for working with people and systems, excellent adaptability to change and ability to be open-minded is a must
  • 3+ years of experience in customer service field
  • 3+ years of experience leading a team
  • 5+ years of experience as a rental property manager
  • Experience of working with short-term rentals, developers and REITs
  • Valid BC Rental Property Manager license
  • Excellent typing and knowledge of computer systems including Outlook, Word and Excel is required
  • Valid driver's license and reliable motor vehicle
  • Clean criminal record check
  • Ability to handle multiple things going on at once including multitasking, meeting deadlines and maintaining clear communication with the team and clients

Position Details:

  • Full-time, permanent role
  • $80,000+ annually to start (+bonus opportunities)
  • 5 weeks paid vacation
  • You must be living in Victoria or within driving distance from the offices
