We are looking for just the right person to take on a receptionist role with our team. In this client-facing role, you will manage a busy phone system, assist walk-in clients, and handle all of the diverse tasks that arise during the course of the day.

*This is 10 to 12-month contract (Maternity Leave Coverage) with possibility of extension.*

What you’ll do:

  • Answer a multi-line switchboard and direct calls efficiently to our 60+ staff members
  • Welcome walk-in clients and trades at our busy head office
  • Receive, post, reconcile, and deposit cash payments
  • Use a variety of programs to navigate through tasks, such as phone software, information databases, an electronic in/out board, and Outlook
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and correspondence
  • Coordinate and track keys provided to trades and property residents

Experience & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated customer service excellence
  • Cash handling experience
  • Experience handling a multi-line phone system or switchboard
  • Experience working with a database
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Successful completion of a criminal records check

Position Details

  • $36,000-40,000 annually to start
  • Full-time, 10 to 12-month contract position with possibility of extension
  • Burnside office location (20 Burnside Rd West)
  • Hours of work: Monday through Friday 8:30-5:00, with an hour for lunch
  • Office closed on weekends and statutory holidays
