The role day to day:

In this role you will be exposed to the various aspects of accounting day-to-day operation and will be a key component to our success. Working in collaboration with our Accounting Manager you will be assigned a wide variety of tasks to learn all aspects of accounting function in the industry.

Here are some of the tasks you will be assigned (and don’t worry, we will teach you all property management terminology):

  • Assist with coding of invoices for all properties as assigned
  • Accounts Payable data entry as assigned
  • Review data input for all monthly cheque runs
  • Prepare, post and deposit laundry coin for all properties
  • Post and deposit cheques
  • Post online payments received and transfer funds with online banking
  • Reconcile and review sundry operating statement portfolio

The Details:

Experience & Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled or obtained a university degree in related field (Accounting, Business administration, etc.)
  • Enthusiasm for working with people and systems
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral
  • Successful completion of Criminal record check

Position Details:

  • Salary: $16 an hour
  • Full-time, 3 months contract
  • Office closed on weekends and statutory holidays
