Role and Responsibilities
· Act as main technical liason with customers on projects.
· Plan, schedule, organize, direct, control and evaluate projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget.
· Prepare proposals based on opportunities and customer requests, which will include liaison with potential subcontractors for quote and proposal development.
· Provide field and technical support to a wide variety of geotechnical, hydrogeology and environmental projects; including the preparation and supervision of field programs, data collection, data analysis, and technical report writing and proposal preparation.
· Design and conduct field investigations including: drilling and logging; soil and bedrock characterization; monitoring well installation; hydraulic response testing; soil, groundwater, sediment and surface water sampling; installation of groundwater instrumentation, etc.
· Data interpretation of subsurface investigation projects for reporting and design purposes.
· Act as primary authors for geotechnical/hydrogeological reports or direct staff in situations where you will be the peer reviewer.
· Interpretation and application of regional acts and regulations.
· Complete and oversee project administration, including cost control, schedule control and change order administration
· Providing detailed updates to stakeholders
· Ensure adequate resources are available for the completion of assigned projects.
· Ensures compliance with all PRI Engineering and OSHA safety (or other regional codes) requirements.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
· Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience (in consulting).
· The successful candidate should be flexible in assignments, willing to travel periodically, and eager to learn.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
· Registered as a Professional Engineer or Professional Geoscientist in good standing, with Professional Engineers of Ontario or Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario, Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta, or other equivalent provincial engineering regulators. Preference will be given to those registered with the bodies mentioned previously.
· Valid full driver’s license in Ontario or Alberta.
· Minimum Bachelor’s degree geological/geotechnical/civil engineering.
