Front End Developer - Summer Internship

About the internship:

During this internship, you will facilitate the ideation and design of complex web, mobile and cloud solutions. You will work with an agile team to define user experiences, including user stories, personas and process flows and interactions. You will continue the design process by planning, executing and presenting wireframes and mockups to the team. You will convert designs into front end web code using HTML and CSS. Your work will enhance the organization’s ability to deliver free skills-based education to youth and other community members.

• Currently a student of/already have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, technology or another relevant field
• Ability to work in a technology heavy environment and learn new tools and platforms quickly
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Bonus Points If You:

• Have 1-2 years of experience in a relevant field
• Are familiar or have experience with the AGILE methodology
• Have experience working with Adobe Creative Suite, Balsamiq, & Invision
• Have worked in a scaling start-up or growing small-business environment

What We Offer:

• $18.00 per hour
• 35 hours per week, 9am-5pm
• Monday to Friday
• Remote, work from home

Eligibility Requirements:

This position is fully funded through Canada Summer Jobs, therefor candidates must be considered youth, and a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Refugee residing in Ontario.
