Instructional Designer - Summer Internship

About the internship:

During this internship, you will be a key contributor to enhancing and building upon existing programming, as well as adapting it for new audiences. You will create content (both written and interactive), liaising with the marketing and product teams to enhance the overall learning experience, and support other teachers and facilitators while using our program. Your work will enhance the organization’s ability to deliver free skills-based education to youth and other community members.

What We’re Looking For:

• Passion for our product and mission, and go-getters who thrive in fast paced environments
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Currently a student of/already have a bachelor’s degree in the area of education or another relevant field
• Some instructional design experience focused on digital (i.e. eLearning, presentations, videos, gamification etc.) and blended learning
• Ability to work in a technology heavy environment and learn new tools and platforms quickly
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Bonus Points If You:

• Have some instructional design experience focused on digital (i.e. eLearning, presentations, videos, gamification etc.) and blended learning or 1-2 years experience in a relevant field
• Are familiar or have experience with the AGILE methodology
• Have experience working with Adobe Creative Cloud, and Microsoft Office
• Have worked in a scaling start-up or growing small-business environment

What We Offer:

• $18.00 per hour
• 35 hours per week, 9am-5pm
• Monday to Friday
• Remote, work from home

Eligibility Requirements:

This position is fully funded through Canada Summer Jobs, therefor candidates must be considered youth, and a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Refugee residing in Ontario.
