AI and Power Platform Solution Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled AI & Power Platform Solutions Developer to design, build, secure, and maintain high-impact business applications that modernize and automate operations across our engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and field operations teams. This role will be instrumental in driving digital transformation by leveraging the full Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, Dataverse, and Copilot / Azure AI services to improve efficiency, data visibility, decision-making, and scalability across our solar PV mounting systems business. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise, business process understanding, and a forward-thinking AI mindset, with the ability to translate real-world operational challenges into secure, scalable, and user-friendly solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Power Platform Application Development

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven) for internal business use across: Engineering workflows (design reviews, approvals, change management)Manufacturing operations (production tracking, QA/QC, NCRs)Supply chain & procurement (vendor tracking, inventory, lead times)Field & operations teams (installations, inspections, commissioning)

• Build and manage Dataverse data models with appropriate relationships, validation, and governance.
• Develop Power Pages or internal portals where external or cross-functional access is required.

Workflow Automation & Integration

• Design and implement Power Automate flows to: Automate approvals, notifications, and escalations Integrate with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)Connect ERP, CRM, PLM, and third-party systems where applicable

• Optimize and refactor legacy manual processes into automated digital workflows.

AI & Intelligent Automation

• Implement AI-driven solutions using: Microsoft Copilot Studio Azure OpenAI / Cognitive Services (e.g., document processing, forecasting, classification)

• Develop AI-assisted tools such as: Intelligent form completion Automated document analysis (drawings, specs, BOMs)Predictive insights for operations, production, or supply chain risks

• Identify opportunities where AI can meaningfully reduce manual effort and improve decision-making.

Data, Analytics & Reporting

• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards for real-time visibility into: Manufacturing performance. Supply chain metrics, Engineering throughput and Operational KPIs

• Ensure data accuracy, security, and performance across reporting solutions.

Security, Governance & Platform Management

• Implement role-based access control, data loss prevention (DLP) policies, and environment strategies.
• Ensure applications meet internal security, compliance, and data-privacy requirements.
• Monitor application performance, usage, and reliability; troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Establish Power Platform best practices, documentation, and standards.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Leadership to understand business needs.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Provide user training, documentation, and ongoing support.
• Stay current on Microsoft Power Platform and AI roadmap updates and recommend adoption strategies.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience developing solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform
• Strong hands-on experience with: Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven), Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI

• Experience integrating Power Platform with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and external systems
• Solid understanding of application security, role-based access, and governance
• Experience working with AI services (Copilot Studio, Azure AI, or equivalent)
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, construction, or renewable energy
• Familiarity with ERP, PLM, CAD, or supply chain systems
• Experience with Azure services, APIs, or custom connectors
• Microsoft certifications (Power Platform, Azure, or AI)
• Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, or operational efficiency concepts
