Responsibilities

  • Work closely with various stakeholders including: Finance Managers, Accountants, and Senior Finance Management
  • Full cycle Account Payable processing (coding, approvals, banking, reconciliations) of corporate and/or bid expenses.
  • Supporting the preparation monthly, quarterly, and/or annual financial statements on IFRS and GAAP basis for Corporate entities.
  • Assisting the Accounts Payable Specialist and Corporate Finance Manager with monthly entries
  • Responding and coordinating responses for financial queries from internal groups and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in preparation of GST returns and other regulatory reports and returns, and remittances as required.
  • Maintaining accounting policies, procedures and related documents.
  • Supporting process implementation and streamlining to improve operating quality.
  • Supporting management and other accountants in other areas as required.


Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education, preferably in Business and/or Accounting discipline.
  • 1-2 years of working experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting systems and software would be preferred. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is particularly an asset.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically of Excel.
  • Strong work ethic and high level of personal and professional integrity.
