With divisions ranging from rocket propulsion and spaceports, to satellite development and planetary robotics, NordSpace is driven to do everything it takes to bring space closer to Earth. As a GNC Engineer at NordSpace, you will be working on a variety of complex control systems problems, ranging from guiding our orbital rocket to its precise destination, to developing HIL systems to simulate missions on the ground.

As a GNC Engineer at NordSpace, you will be working towards developing Canada's first orbital class launch vehicle. A first on countless fronts, and sure to inspire the country and generations of scientists and engineers. Your work will involve a tremendous amount of scoping, research, design, and prototyping of our Hadfield Engine's thrust vector control (TVC) and general GNC systems with an intense focus on rapid iteration and testing while maintaining a high degree of safety. The specifics and constraints will be discussed privately.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industry experience in propulsion control systems
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or related field, Master’s or Ph.D. greatly preferred
• Significant hands-on engineering experience with control systems design, prototyping, and testing
• Significant knowledge of and deep passion for the space industry at large
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct independent research
• Excellent English communication skills
• Excellent project management skills
