PERT is a nonprofit organization that seeks to address the employability issues faced by English-speaking Quebecers. Since our founding in 2020, we have developed a research, engagement, and development agenda in collaboration with stakeholders across Québec who are working to improve labour market outcomes for English speakers.
The Development Intern position offers hands-on experience in program coordination, stakeholder engagement, and organizational development. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing processes, organizing information, and supporting the delivery of programs that strengthen professional networks and community outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Organizational Development, the Development Intern will support the coordination and delivery of PERT’s programs and engagement initiatives. Responsibilities include:
- Support the coordination and day-to-day operations of programs such as the Circonflexe Mentorship Program.
- Track participant progress across program phases, ensuring timely movement through onboarding, matching, and follow-up stages.
- Manage program data, including maintaining accurate records of participants, engagement, and outcomes.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of program materials, contracts, and onboarding documentation.
- Respond to participant inquiries and provide ongoing support throughout program participation.
- Support internal planning and logistics for program activities, meetings, and sectoral tables.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying gaps in processes and suggesting enhancements.
- Provide general administrative and coordination support across development and engagement initiatives.
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate has the following skills and experience:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable engaging with external stakeholders and program participants.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Comfort managing structured processes and high volumes of information.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar).
- Interest in community development, employability, or nonprofit work.
Assets
- Experience in program coordination, administration, or project support.
- Familiarity with mentorship programs, community initiatives, or stakeholder engagement.
- Bilingualism (English and French).

Pay: $22/hour - Location: 393 rue Saint-Jacques, Suite 258, Montréal, Québec, H2Y 1N9, with opportunity for hybrid work
