Field Labourer (University Student)

Position: Field University Student

Reports to: Bareroot and Budding Supervisor

Classification: University Student

Role Objectives: 

To support the production and maintenance of high quality field grown tree liners by performing a variety of general labour tasks while following all safety policies and procedures.

General Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized department

• Assist with field tree maintenance including: 
• 1. Pruning
  2. Grow Straights and Staking
  3. Tying

• Assist with field planting process for budding understock and seedlings
• Assist in bareroot pruning and loading 
• Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by Supervisor
