Position: General Labourer

Reports to: Department Supervisor

Classification: Full-time Seasonal

Open positions in Flowering Shrubs, Perennials, and Container Trees Departments

Role Objective: 

To support the efficient production, maintenance, and handling of container-grown trees by performing a variety of general labour tasks while following all safety policies and procedures.

General Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized department

• Assist with plant maintenance, including: 
• 1. Fertilizing 
  2. Pruning
  3. Staking
  4. Weeding
  5. Labelling
  6. Spacing, etc. 
• Assist with potting container plant material.

• Support pest and disease control efforts as directed by supervisors.
• Assist with loading orders, as needed. 

Required Certifications:

• None
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License (asset)
