Position: Perennial Shipper

Reports to: Perennial Head Shipper

Classification: University Student

Role Objective:

To assist in preparing, organizing, and loading plant orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely dispatch while maintaining plant quality and following safety and handling protocols.

General Responsibilities:

• Accurately pull and assemble live plant orders based on packing slips, customer invoices, or digital order systems.
• Ensure correct plant varieties, quantities, and sizes are selected according to customer orders and quality standards.
• Inspect plants for pests, disease, or damage before shipping.
• Label orders clearly and accurately; and stage completed orders in designated areas for shipping, or pickup.
• Monitor and manage leftover orders and restock plant material.
• Communicate with the shipping and sales teams regarding add-ons, shortages, damages, or order discrepancies.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized department

• Assist with plant maintenance, including fertilizing, pruning, staking, weeding, labelling, spacing, etc. as time allows.

Required Certifications:

• Valid Ontario Driver’s License
