At McGrath Pharmacies Inc., our mission is to help as many people as we can in as many ways as possible. We are seeking a Home Health Services Lead to lead and support our Home Health services while also contributing to dispensary operations. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, compassionate, patient-focused, and motivated to grow in a specialized area of pharmacy and healthcare support.

The Home Health Services Lead is responsible for coordinating home health services, supporting patients with equipment and funding needs, managing vendor and special order relationships, and helping ensure a high standard of service and care. Time in this position will be split between Home Health responsibilities and dispensary support.

Training for this role will include:

  • Some training with Katie Bubar, the current Home Health Services Lead
  • external courses
  • self-learning to support ongoing development and a successful transition.

The home health lead transition period will be about one year, as the role and responsibilities vary from week to week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee day-to-day Home Health services
  • Support patients with fittings, equipment selection, education, and service coordination
  • Assist with insurance approvals, funding applications, and third-party or government program navigation
  • Manage equipment orders, repairs, maintenance follow-up, and special requests
  • Communicate with vendors, patients, caregivers, and internal team members to ensure timely service
  • Complete documentation and maintain organized, accurate records
  • Support home health product knowledge and service awareness across the team
  • Identify opportunities for service improvements and operational efficiency
  • Provide support in the dispensary as part of the role’s regular time allocation
  • Contribute to a positive patient and team experience through professionalism, empathy, and collaboration

Qualifications

  • Experience in pharmacy, healthcare, home health, or a related field preferred
  • Strong understanding of insurance processes, funding navigation, or government programs is an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with others
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
  • Experience with medical equipment, fittings, repairs, or vendor coordination is an asset
  • Dispensary or pharmacy workflow experience is an asset
