We are looking for an energetic, reliable individual to add to our Team at North End Pharmacy, Halifax, Nova Scotia as a Community Pharmacist  who lives by our company values of Respect, Teamwork, Positive Attitude, and Ability to Change.

Our Pharmacy services extend well beyond the "brick and mortar" dispensary model. Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends. 

Qualifications
  • Completed an accredited university level degree program in pharmacy;
  • Qualified in all aspects of handling medications, including dispensing prescription and non-prescription medications, drug therapy, and understanding drug interactions and side effects;
  • Completed an assigned period of practice experience;
  • Trained in the principles of medication therapy management and quality pharmaceutical care, including patient counselling;
  • Understand all health care and pharmacy laws governing pharmaceuticals, pharmacists/technicians roles, and pharmacy operations;
  • Successfully completed provincial and national examinations demonstrating competence in pharmacy practice and applicable pharmacy laws and standards of practice;
  • Proficiency in Kroll software considered an asset;
  • Meet continuing education requirements; and
  • Meet English language fluency requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily technical and therapeutic checks
  • Handle confidential information respectfully and in accordance to Pharmacy standards
  • Pharmacy Services including: Immunizations, Minor Ailment Assessing and Prescribing, etc.
  • Collaboration with other Health Care professionals
  • Leading dispensary Pharmacy Assistants
  • Monitoring pharmacy inventory and ordering daily stock
  • Be Kind and Understanding with patients
  • All other daily Pharmacist duties as required
