About the Role:

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Decision Support, the Senior Business Partner, Financial Planning & Analysis will play a pivotal role in supporting strategic financial planning, investment decision-making, and risk evaluation, ensuring financial insight drives business performance and shareholder value creation.


Key Accountabilities:


Strategic Financial Planning & Forecasting

· Support and coordinate business inputs into budget and forecast cycles, challenging assumptions and improving the quality and relevance of underlying drivers.

· Maintain rolling outlooks for key cost drivers, operational metrics, and performance indicators relevant to the business.

· Continuously improve forecasting accuracy through enhanced driver-based modelling and variance analysis.

· Provide financial analyses to support quarterly valuation exercises.


Decision Support & Business Partnering

· Act as a trusted financial advisor to business leaders, supporting strategic initiatives through high-quality financial modelling, and business cases.

· Deliver “what-if” and scenario analysis to assess the financial impact of operational and commercial decisions, including pricing, contract structures, staffing levels, capital expenditure timing, and investment trade-offs.

· Support the preparation of executive leadership and Board materials, ensuring insights are clear, concise, and decision focused.

· Prepare project investment appraisals and post-investment reviews using NPV, IRR, MOIC and payback metrics.


Risk Analysis & Performance Monitoring

· Support the development and maintain a comprehensive risk register covering financial, operational, and market risks.

· Conduct stress tests and downside case analysis for debt covenant and liquidity management.

· Monitor KPI dashboards for early warning indicators and performance trends


Cash Flow and Working Capital

· Provide insights into cash flow and working capital performance across the business, including timing of receipts and payments, accrual quality, cost recognition, and capital expenditure phasing.

· Partner with stakeholders to identify risks and opportunities related to liquidity and cash optimization.


Business Valuation

· Support quarterly NAV modelling and NAV education within the enterprise.


Other

· Maintain a strong working knowledge of key commercial contract terms and relevant compliance requirements.

· Contribute to continuous improvement of FP&A processes, tools, and reporting.

· Support ad-hoc financial analysis and decision support requests as required.


Key Skills & Competencies:

· Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills.

· Proven experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making.

· Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and effectively.

· Experience in budgeting, forecasting, business cases, and valuation support.

· Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency.


Qualifications & Experience:

· 3+ years of experience in corporate FP&A, investment analysis, or transaction support.

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.

· Professional qualification or post graduate degree preferred (CFA, ACA, CIMA, ACCA, MBA or equivalent).
