Senior Systems Engineer – Tier 3 (Projects)

Position Overview
The Senior System Engineer is a strategic technical position within the organization. This position is responsible for maintaining the design, implementation and integrity of customer’s systems, along with coordinating complex projects. There is a requirement for some after-hours work and an on-call schedule.
Skills & Qualifications:
• 7+ years’ experience in designing, implementing, and supporting virtualization platforms
• 7+ years’ experience in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise messaging environments
• 5+ years’ experience in Key Microsoft technologies, such as Remote Desktop Services and SQL Server in enterprise environments.
Requirements of Role:
· IT support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications, as well as virtual environments built on VMware, Microsoft Hyper V, and Virtuozzo
• Design, implementation, and support services for Microsoft related technologies: Windows Server, SharePoint, Active Directory etc.
• Implementation & IT support relating to technical issues involving Linux operating systems
• Familiarity of NAS & SAN technologies
• Experience in Layer 2 / Basic Layer 3 networking
• Demonstrated excellent client communication skills
• System documentation and consulting services to include system reviews and recommendations
• Engineer and implement system solutions for customers using technologies that meet their needs
• System documentation and consulting services to include system reviews and recommendations
• Experience in Implementing and supporting disaster recovery solutions
• Microsoft Office 365
• Remote access solution implementation and support: VPN, and Terminal Services
• Technical services and support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security
• Storage architecture experience
• HPC solution architect
• Programming/Scripting skills
• Cisco Duo
• Logic Monitor
• Ninja One
• PowerBi and Power Automate experience an asset
Education and Certification
• Related Technical Diploma/Degree is encouraged
• Professional IT Certifications, such as: Microsoft MCP, MCSA, MCSE, RHCE, Citrix CCEA, Virtuozzo, MS-900, MS-102
