How To Apply

To apply, use the Apply button and complete the online application, including attaching your resume.

Submitting an application does not commit you nor us to anything. It is simply the first step in determining whether there is a realistic basis for both sides to continue the conversation.

The application helps us confirm that you reviewed this Join Us page fully, understand the basics of the opportunity, meet the core eligibility requirements and appear to have the practical readiness to pursue it further.

It also helps us assess important fit factors early, including legal ability to work in a self-employed capacity, schedule availability, transportation, financial readiness, communication ability and overall seriousness about the opportunity.

Once your application is submitted, you will receive an instant confirmation email, and we will reply within two business days.

Discovery Call

After reviewing your application, if it looks like it might be a good fit, we will send you an invite to book a face-to-face virtual discovery call. This is not a formal interview. This initial call is a chance to connect, provide more context about the opportunity and see if we are aligned. There will also be time to answer a few of your early questions.

There’s no obligation — just clear information to help you make an informed decision.

If it feels like the right fit on both sides, we will invite you to an extended discovery call. It gives us more time to go over the details more deeply, address all of your questions thoroughly and make sure you are leaving with the full picture.

Offer & Acceptance

If everything still aligns after the extended discovery call, we will follow that call with an offer to partner with us as a licensee. If you accept our offer then we begin onboarding. The first step is to send your licensing agreement for you to review and approval. Once that is done things move quicly and your success coach will guide you every step of the way.

Start Up Meeting

After accepting an offer, Licensees have a face-to-face virtual meeting with a Success Coach to go over their startup checklist and begin onboarding.

Onboarding

Onboarding typically takes one to two weeks and includes online training, obtaining products and equipment and practicing service standards before beginning marketing and taking on your first Customers.

Training

Motivated Brands Academy is our online platform that provides everything you need to operate your nano-business successfully. It includes training, policies, procedures, and business management guidance, ensuring you have all the tools to run your business efficiently.

Pooper Scoopers receive detailed training on professional techniques, service checklists, product usage, and equipment handling to ensure consistent, high-quality results. The platform also covers essential business topics such as tracking expenses, filing taxes, managing bookings, and following company policies.

Training is self-paced and available 24/7, allowing Providers to access the information whenever it’s convenient. This ensures you can complete the required learning at your own speed while preparing to deliver exceptional service to Customers.

Earnings

Customers pay rates set by the company, which vary by location, along with a per-booking fuel surcharge, and may leave an online tip when making a booking or after it. All payments are processed online by credit card or Visa Debit and disbursed to licensees on a regular cadence.

Before payout, core deductions are paid, including a 20 percent licensing fee and credit card processing fees.

Income is built by developing a dense route of recurring weekly customers over time. As route density grows, driving time between bookings decreases, allowing more bookings to be completed each day and creating a stronger earnings base.

Start Up Costs & Financial Readiness

Few service businesses with this level of earning potential can be started with such a modest initial investment. The estimated startup cost is approximately $1,000, covering the essential items needed to begin taking bookings.

Licensees are responsible for covering their own startup costs. These include items such as equipment, products, insurance, a criminal records check, marketing materials and other onboarding-related expenses. A breakdown of the essential startup costs is as follows:

Uniform and ID badge: $150
Business insurance (2 months upfront): $100
Criminal records check: $25
Business cards: $25
Essential products: $100
Essential equipment: $400
Marketing: $200
Total estimated investment: $1,000

Marketing is almost fully managed by the company as one of our done-for-you services, allowing Providers to benefit from centralized branding, bulk purchasing power and expert marketing strategies. However, Providers can also participate in approved community outreach at their own expense, such as trade shows, local sponsorships, charity marketing and business networking. Additional start up marketing can accelerate business growth, with recommended investment amounts outlined below:

Good: Essential cost + $200 = $1,000
Better: Essential cost + $450 = $1,250
Best: Essential cost + $700 = $1,500

It takes time to build a dense recurring route. Although the business can grow into strong earnings over time, income is not immediate at full scale on day one. For that reason, Providers should have enough savings, other household income or another reasonable source of financial support to cover their living expenses while building their business.

This opportunity is best suited to someone who can give the route time to grow properly rather than someone who needs immediate full-time income in the first few weeks.

Availability

This opportunity is intended to build into a long-term, full-time nano-business based on recurring weekly customers and route density. It is not short-term gig work, casual freelancing or a side hustle built around another primary job.

Starting part-time is acceptable. However, you must have the same two days available each week from the beginning. Consistent availability matters because recurring customers are assigned based on reliable service days, and that consistency is important both for route building and customer retention.

As your route grows, you must be able to add additional days until you reach full-time availability. The long-term target is at least four to five days per week with the ability to work full business days as demand builds.

This opportunity is best suited to someone whose schedule is stable, predictable and flexible enough to grow with the business over time. It is not well suited to someone whose availability changes constantly or who is trying to fit bookings around another primary full-time commitment with limited flexibility.

Transportation

Licensees need a dependable way to get to and from bookings, and they must be able to carry their products and equipment from property to property. This means having their own vehicle. Having someone drop you off and pick you up will not work.

What You’ll Be Doing

This role involves providing outdoor pet waste services for residential customers, with weekly recurring service making up the main body of the work.

You walk back and forth in one direction and then make a second pass in the opposite direction, covering the designated area. Using a shrub rake, clearly visible pet waste is collected into a bag-lined debris pan, double-bagged and placed in your customers garbage bin. Services do not include yard clean-up (e.g., raking leaves, removing debris).

A second major part of the work is spring cleanup service. These bookings deal with waste that accumulated through the winter and is exposed once the snow is gone. Because of the buildup, they are more demanding than regular weekly bookings and require more time, more effort and more physical endurance.

The service lineup also includes odor-control and treatment work. That includes yard deodorizing, as well as yard deodorizing, sanitizing and disinfection service. These treatments are applied in outdoor areas using products intended to reduce odors, help break down organic matter and help protect the space against bacteria, viruses, fungi and mold.

Coming soon is installing in-ground dog waste disposal systems. That installation work involves setting up a septic-style disposal unit that allows waste to be deposited into the system and broken down using enzyme and bacteria powder.

The work happens outside and continues in varying, and at times harsh, weather conditions.

Over time, the goal is to build tight recurring routes in the same general areas so less time is lost driving and more bookings can be completed in a day. Long-term success depends on doing the work thoroughly, showing up dependabily, working efficiently and maintaining a professional standard in the field.

Done-For-You Managed Services

We manage most of the day-to-day administrative tasks like bookings, scheduling, billing, customer support and much more so you don’t have to. Our omni-channel call center is available seven days a week, providing live support to both you and your customers through phone, SMS, email, web chat, and social media DM. This allows you to focus on what matters most—delivering exceptional service—while we ensure that all the operational details are handled. With these burdens lifted, you can grow your business with confidence, knowing your customers are receiving top-tier support and attention.

Centrailized Sales & Marketing

We manage the majority of sales and marketing efforts, giving Providers access to expert strategies, branding, and group purchasing power. Our team handles SMS and email marketing, along with other efforts such as digital marketing, website presence, search engine optimization, Google listings, directories, social media marketing, paid ads, dedicated Provider web pages, and more.

All marketing costs are Provider-funded. At startup, Providers can choose the essentials—branded uniform and business cards—or invest in a grand opening fund with three tiers, depending on how much they want to put into their launch.

Once operating, Providers contribute a percentage of sales toward marketing to help maintain a steady flow of bookings. This amount is divided between brand-wide marketing and an individual fund allocated for their specific marketing needs.

Providers are responsible for local in-person outreach, including handing out business cards, distributing door hangers after bookings, attending trade shows, and participating in charity events or sponsorships.
