About the role:

As the Account Manager – Business Insurance you will be responsible for a portfolio of business within our Business Insurance team for client’s over $10,000.00. You will be a trusted advisor for your clients providing them with counsel to make educated decisions on all things Insurance.

Key responsibilities:

Pre-Renewal:

  • Assist with the collection of renewal information from clients
  • Preparing coverage specifications and insurance applications
  • Review insurance quotations and create coverage and premium comparisons
  • Assist in creating client proposals, analysis and renewal presentations

Responsibilities – Post-Renewal:

  • Accountable for issuing all of binders and invoicing for each line of coverage
  • Prepares premium allocation and risk allocation for taxation purposes where applicable
  • Manage the billing and accounts receivable activity on assigned accounts
  • Reviews insurance policies for accuracy and coordinates corrections with insurers
  • Prepares and sends policy documents to clients
  • Reviews requirements and executes issuance of certificates of insurance
  • Issuance of insurance certificates and auto ID cards where applicable

On Going Customer Service:

  • Reviews policy wordings and other documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Reviews requirements and executes issuance of certificates of insurance
  • Process policy changes and endorsements
  • Issuance of insurance auto ID cards
  • Accounts Receivable collections on outstanding accounts
  • Ensure quality service to all clients including computerized file maintenance
  • Responds to client inquiries and insurer coverage/documentation requests
  • Reporting of claims as required
  • Maintain renewal lists for the service team

What you will need:

  • Minimum 5 or more years of experience In Business Insurance
  • College or University degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • R.I.B.O. Licensed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Applied Systems TAM preferred
  • Strong Organizational, time management and customer service skills
