The Mississaugua Golf and Country Club is one of Canada’s top private all-season golf clubs. Founded in 1906, MG&CC is a year-round private club that offers golf, fitness, curling and tennis, dining, and social amenities. Our Tudor Clubhouse is a spectacular venue for casual and fine dining, banquets, weddings and various social events and functions.


Position Summary:


The Mississaugua Golf and Country Club is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable and Receptionist to join our team. This is a part time position (3 days a week). This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations at MG&CC. In addition, this position provides reception / administrative support to the Club office.


Key Responsibilities – Accounts Receivable

· Accurately and efficiently perform accounts receivable tasks as per required timelines, including preparation of monthly statements and processing of payments (cash, interact, EFT and cheques)

· Respond quickly and professionally to all vendor, member and team inquiries and requests

· Accurately enter and audit member and employee chits in the Jonas system for future invoicing

· Perform regular review of accounts to identify overdue payments, generate reports and follow up on payment as required

· Perform member account maintenance, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date in the Jonas database

· Prepare bank deposits on a regular basis and submit to the bank for processing

· Process billings for social, golf, tennis, fitness and curling events

· Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness of AR processing


Key Responsibilities – Receptionist

· Represent the Club and team, and as first point of contact, project a positive and professional image

· Provide superior customer service to all members and suppliers by responding professionally and promptly to all questions, inquiries and requests (via phone, email, letter and in person)

· Operate and maintain a multi-line telephone system

· Deliver high levels of service (to internal and external contacts) and responds to all inquiries/requests with a sense of urgency

· Process, date stamp and distributes incoming mail and faxes

· Ensure supplies are stocked and all office machines are in good working conditions, place orders and service calls as required

· Perform member account maintenance, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date in the Jonas database

· Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications:


· 3+ years related experience performing accounts receivable

· Previous administrative experience (including operation of a multi-line phone system)

· Degree or diploma in business administration , accounting or administration an asset

· Advanced computer proficiency – Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power Point), email and internet

· Experience with accounting / membership-based software (ie, Jonas) and POS systems is an asset

· Hands on knowledge of standard office equipment, including; fax, photo copier, mail machine, etc.

· Demonstrated skills in time management, planning and organization

· Ability to work well independently

· Able to maintain confidentiality / privacy of information

· Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with stakeholders

· Self – motivated with the ability to take initiative and be resourceful

· Strong verbal communication skills – written and verbal


Compensation:

· Negotiable and commensurate of experience
