About us

The Mississaugua Golf and Country Club is one of Canada’s top private all-season golf clubs, with a diverse membership of 1,400 members and an outstanding Tier One golf course famous for its excellence. The Club has played host to numerous premier events, including six Canadian Opens.

Founded in 1906, MG&CC is a year-round private club that offers golf, curling and tennis, fitness, dining and social amenities. Our Tudor Clubhouse is a spectacular venue for casual and fine dining, banquets, weddings and various social events and functions.

Position Summary

Mississaugua Golf and Country Club is seeking a Server to join our fast paced Food and Beverage Department. The Server will be responsible for providing the highest level of quality service to members and guests in our dining room facility.

Key Responsibilities

o Provide professional, responsive and friendly food & beverage service to members and guests

o Demonstrate complete and accurate knowledge of the full menu, wine and drink list, dessert menu, specials and buffet items

o Be attentive to members’ needs, circulate the room and respond quickly

o Spot opportunities to offer suggestions for food/beverage items and upsell to increase sales

o Clear place settings at the appropriate times

o Ensure the tables are set up appropriately, including linens, plates, cutlery, condiments etc.

o Handle complaints with professionalism and tact. Take action if possible or escalate to the dining room supervisor

o Maintain a safe and clean dining environment – ensure all cutlery, glassware and machines are clean, all surfaces are wiped and all equipment is turned off at shift end

o Ensure all members are accurately charged for their chits, create a summary and end of shift report. Place all chits at the main bar for processing

o Follow all Health & Safety policies and dining room / service procedures & standards


o Experience in a fast-paced, food & beverage service / hospitality environment

o Successful completion of Smart Serve training

o Working knowledge of Point of Sale system (POS) – Jonas an asset

o Experience with chit orders an asset

o Pleasant, respectful and professional when communicating with others

o Commitment to delivering exceptional service – courteous and friendly

o Commitment to teamwork and cooperation

o Effectively follow established health & safety / dining room guidelines and policies

o Contribute to a positive work environment and demonstrate a positive attitude

o Work in an efficient manner while managing multiple tasks and priorities

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

o Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with diverse people, including kitchen and dining staff
