Miru seeks a talented, responsible, hands-on Chemical Process Technician to help scale and optimize the production of advanced ink formulations used in our electrochromic technologies. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will help produce materials as part of our commercial chemical production activities. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Safe execution of activities in a chemical production environment
  • Strict adherence to production standard operating procedures (SOPs) 
  • Accurate documentation and creation of detailed batch records
  • Maintaining the chemistry production facility in a neat and organized state
  • Assembling equipment and transporting materials necessary to produce and store materials


Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience:  Candidates with experience in a production environment will be strongly considered.
  • Other: A commitment to laboratory safety is required.


Competencies:

  • Experience in a production environment producing solution phase organic and/or inorganic material (e.g. pharmaceuticals, polymeric materials, etc.)
  • Experience with Google Office suite (Sheets, Docs, Gmail/Chat)
  • Experience with air free synthesis and handling of materials at production scale
  • Understanding of equipment wiring, mechanics, and instrument operation, plumbing, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills


Please Note: 

  • This position requires full-time, in-office presence at our Olympic Village locations.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed

Compensation:

The posted range for this position is $63,000 - $74,750 representing the expected starting base salary for candidates from developing proficiency in the role through to fully proficient. In addition to base salary, you will be eligible for our bonus program, stock options, 4+ paid weeks off/year and extended health benefits after 3 months of service.
