About your role
Reporting to the Controller, the Mortgage Administrator processes all mortgage related transactions and manages the property tax database. The ideal candidate for this role is an enthusiastic, detail-oriented multi-tasker who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
What you’ll work on:
· Processing all mortgage related transactions, including:
o Reconciling, preparing and uploading daily mortgage payments
o Preparing discharged and mortgage related statements
o Processing all expenses and fees pertaining to mortgages
· Administering all property tax related transactions
· Creating and maintaining relationships with municipalities and law offices
· Reconciling data between two systems
· Have knowledge of internal controls and provide insight into process efficiencies
· Support management with ad-hoc requests and new initiatives as required
What you need:
· Minimum 2 years experience in accounts receivable
· Experience working in a small-medium sized office environment
· Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Ability to build rapport and communicate appropriately with clients and peers
· Strong organizational and time-management skills while maintaining attention to detail
· Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
· Covid-19 proof of vaccination
What you should have:
· University/College degree in a relevant field
· Knowledge of Simply Accounting
