The Lycée international de Calgary, a French Ministry of Education, Alberta Education, and CAIS accredited French bilingual school of approximately 450 students total, is seeking an elementary English teacher.

JOB DUTIES
Lycée international de Calgary is seeking a dedicated and dynamic teacher to join our team.
Supervision & Collaboration:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging instruction aligned with Alberta Education standards. They will report to the Lower School Principal and collaborate directly with the Director of Curriculum, who plays a key role in ensuring curriculum compliance and contributes significantly to the evaluation process, to maintain consistency with curricular expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support student growth and success.
- Adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs and provide accommodations as required.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student growth and well-being
- Assess student progress through ongoing evaluation and standardized testing.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and student learning.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support student achievement.
- Participate in school activities, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and eligibility for or possession of Alberta teaching certification.
- Strong understanding of the Alberta curriculum and best teaching practices.
- Prepared to teach in a bilingual and globally focused environment.
- While French proficiency is not required, familiarity with French or an openness to other languages and cultures is beneficial.
- Commitment to professional excellence and collaboration.
Salary & Benefits:
Compensation is based on years of experience and qualifications, in accordance with the school’s approved teacher salary grid.

- Up-to-date First Aid & CPR certificates;
- Up-to-date police Check with Vulnerable Sector Search;
- Legal ability to work in Canada.
