Wage: $40 to $50 per hour depending on education and experince

Start date: ASAP

The Ideal project manager is a professional who will lead teams through Capital project life cycles. He/she will ensure project plans thoroughly explain how the project will be executed and includes a budget, timeline, schedule, roles and responsibilities among other things.

They will also ensure planning of on-going maintence of 25 public facilties, be respectful of LNIB indigenous practises, ensure community engagement and be an excellent communication and manager of staff.

This position is part of LNIB succession planing and as such the ideal candidate will proceed to become the Director of Infrastructure in 2-5 years.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement projects
• Help define project scope, goals and deliverables
• Define tasks and required resources
• Collect and manage project team
• Manage the project budget
• Allocate project resources
• Create a project schedule and timeline
• Support and direct team
• Lead quality assurance
• Report on the project status
• Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions
• Implement and manage changes when necessary to meet project deliverables
• Evaluate and assess the result of the project

Qualifications

• Project management qualification (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or equivalent experience as a project manager, or civil engeneering, or similar credentials.
• Preferred to have an extensive back bround in construction, civil planning, HVAC.
• Problem-solving and leadership skills
• Project planning, risk management, time management and other prohect manaagemnt skills.
• Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management
• Proficiency in project management software and tools
• Contract negotiation
• Conflict resolution experience
