Position Title: Bus Driver

Department: Lower Nicola Indian Band School

Hours: min 15 hours per week

Wage: 21.00 to $24.00 per hour

Start Date: ASAP

Reports to: Lower Nicola Indian Band School Principal

Summary of responsibilities

· Bus Driver in the morning and afternoon

· General maintenance of Bus

· Light janitorial cleaning of bus

· Liaison and coordinate with parents, teachers and other staff

Required knowledge, skills and abilities

· Driving school bus in the morning and afternoon routes ensuring students are bused in a safe and efficient manner.

· The Bus Driver is responsible for follow up appointments for maintenance of Bus repairs.

· The successful applicant must possess a Valid Class 1 or 2 Drivers License and hold a Current First Aid Certificate.

· Fill out Daily Log Book.

· Personal maturity and role model to children.

· Flexible and adaptable.

· Great communication skills.

· Maintain and log all maintenance and service records.

· Must pass a criminal records check.

· Ability to speak or willingness to learn the Nlaka’pamux language and culture.
