To be eligible, youth must:
- be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period*

- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
*The youth must be 15 years of age at the beginning of the employment period. The youth may be more than 30 years of age at the end of the employment period as long as the youth was 30 at the beginning of the employment period.

FOODBANK OUTREACH WORKER (CSJ)
LOCATION: 2675 Innes Rd; ( Lifecentre.CARE )
WORKWEEK: Monday - Friday; some weekends.
TERM: Fixed Term Contract
PERIOD: 8 weeks
SALARY: $17.92 / HOUR, hourly for 32 hours per week

OVERVIEW: The Assistant Warehouse Manager is responsible for assisting the Food Bank Coordinator in all aspects of the delivery service which includes: Administrative tasks, helping with the merchandising, organizing & receiving process, serving clients, collaborating on social media promotion, and leading the organization, processing and shipping out of goods with our various partners.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent communication skills (English required, French an asset)
- Experience with managing volunteers.
- Good organization and time management skills.
- Experience in organization and/or warehouse logistics or management. - Excellent social skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong understanding of, and commitment to equality.
- Competence in navigating computers to generate reports (Excel) or various web portal software.
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Self-motivated and able to prioritize.
- Known for your flexibility and attention to detail.
- Willingness to “do what it takes” to keep things clean and well organized, clean and maintained.
ASSETS (NOT A PREREQUISITE):
Experience with moving palettes of merchandise and boxing up items.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Worker’s main focus of responsibilities includes but is not limited to:
- Act as the Team Leader of the Food Bank's Volunteer Team.
- General Administration for the food bank and City Serve endeavours (Weekly activity log of hours, duties, and various reports)
- Answer phone and general email inquiries.
- Ensure that the Food Bank and warehouse are maintained regarding appearance, condition, and safety.
- Maintain the inventory database along with accurate usage statistics and records
