PURPOSE STATEMENT: Your primary purpose is to minister to the congregation of Lifecentre Christian Fellowship Church. This role will require a passion for growing people both in our church and in our city. This role requires a strong team dynamic, a firm grasp of the culture and vision of Lifecentre, as well as a strong leadership gift that encourages, equips, and empowers leaders and teams in growing together with Jesus to make a difference in our city. The role of the Youth Assistant position is to assist in the leadership of youth teams and to minister to the congregation of Lifecentre Christian Fellowship Church.
This role would have a 75% focus on Jr. High ministry and a 25% is miscellaneous (adjustable for events or needs in the student ministry). The assistant would be completely owning admin and other details for Jr. High as well as being present/ owning Sunday mornings and growing teams. And that 25% would include assisting, once a month on for "All-IN Nights.

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Able to initiate, execute and manage effective systems to communicate to others
- Able to mobilize teams in order to accomplish a mission
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects/systems simultaneously
- Results-focused leadership with persuasive interpersonal skills adaptable to a variety of personalities and situations
- Professional in speech, conduct and presentation, worthy of representing Lifecentre well in all organizational and city-wide interactions
- Ability to produce each service and execute creative elements with excellence and heart.

PRIMARY DUTY: To minister to the congregation of The Life Centre Christian Fellowship Church, through care and discipleship and to also facilitate youth experiences for the spiritual benefit and development of the Lifecentre community. This also involves leading and overseeing teams that are key in encouraging and building people up, all while creating a sense of connection, community and family within the teams themselves.
The Youth Assistant’s main focus of responsibilities include:
1. Model Biblical Priorities
Responsible for upholding Biblical priorities and core values of Lifecentre. They should represent a growing personal relationship with Jesus to fulfill his or her purpose in life and ministry while demonstrating integrity in words, relationships and actions.
2. Develop, Initiate and Execute Creative Elements for Student Ministry (40%)
The Youth Assistant reports to the Student Pastor and provides support for the different activities, programs and ongoing ministry for youth that is consistent with the needs and interest of the community. One of the main functions of the Youth Assistant is to serve as a mentor figure that will lead, motivate and serve as a role model to youth in active programs. As well as serve as an administrative help to the Student Pastor. Must have the capability of managing large groups of youth (Junior High through High School) in a variety of programs and work independently.
3. Miscellaneous (adjustable for events or needs in the student ministry) (25%)
Responsible for helping aid the LifeStudents ministry whether in Sr. High or Jr. High, in planning and executing events where applicable. As well as being present on "All-In Events" along side the Youth Pastor, and aiding with any other needs in the student ministry.
The Youth Assistant will be encouraged to initiate ideas while working with the Student Pastor to produce meaningful service experiences with the appropriate vision, dynamic, and leadership.
4. Administrative Duties (30%)
Responsible to oversee various administrative duties that assist to organize, manage, report and account for duties specific in relation to the youth and all service element requirements.
Administrative Details
These responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Use and maintain PCO (Planning Centre Online) for scheduling LifeStudents teams.
- Use programs like Dropbox, Zoom, Slack, ProPresenter and Lightkey.
- Continually update, organize, and use these programs in a way that positively effect the experience of a volunteer and congregation.
