ADMINISTRATIVE FOCUS

LOCATION: Lifecentre.Care
WORKWEEK: 24hrs Per Week. Flexible, Evenings Required (Min. 4 - 6 times a month), some weekends (TBD).
TERM: Fixed-Term Contract
PERIOD: 12 Months, with the possibility for renewal.
BENEFITS: Mobile Phone allowance. No other benefits.

OVERVIEW: The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Lifecentre.Care team in all aspects of the delivery service which includes: Administrative tasks, helping with the food receiving process, helping clients, and leading outreach initiatives such as the Funfair Parade, BBQ, Kids Breakfast Club, and social media promotions, including various other avenues for marketing and community connection for all branches of Lifecentre.Care

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent communication skills (Multilingual: English, French, and Arabic are an asset)
- Experience with managing events.
- Good organization and time management skills.
- Experience in providing advocacy for low-income/food-insecure people.
- Excellent social skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong understanding of, and commitment to equality and confidentiality.
- Competence in navigating computers to generate reports (Excel) or various web portal software.
- Competence and knowledge of Social Media platforms.
PERSONAL STRENGTH:
- Self-motivated, and able to prioritize.
- flexible, detail-oriented.
- Strong organizational skills
- Action-oriented.
ASSETS (NOT A PREREQUISITE):
- Experience with a Food Bank as a volunteer and/or visitor.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Coordinator’s main focus of responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Act as the Team Leader of Volunteer Teams.
- Ensure the Food Bank and City Serve Efforts are operating in an inclusive and anti-oppressive manner
- Be available for appointments outside of public Lifecentre.Care hours, when required, and be present for shifts during operating hours.
- Answer phone and general email inquiries.
- Administrative duties include scheduling, Financial Reports, and statistical reports.
- Ensure that the premises are maintained in regards to appearance, condition, and safety as recommended for good food handling and distribution.
- Maintain the visitor database along with accurate usage statistics and records
- Advocate for the needs of clients who use the Food Bank
- Ensure the safety and comfort of the Food Bank by maintaining cleanliness, food safety, and physical accessibility
- Participate in and host Community Events
- Maintain an active presence on social media, in collaboration with other members of the team.
- Collaborate with the executive team to effectively care for our communities.
