WORK WEEK: Sunday - Thursday
PURPOSE STATEMENT: Your primary purpose is to minister to the congregation of Lifecentre Christian Fellowship Church. This role will require a passion for growing people both in our church and in our city. This role requires a strong team dynamic, a firm grasp of the culture and vision of Lifecentre, as well as a strong leadership gift that encourages, equips, and empowers leaders and teams in growing together with Jesus to make a difference in our city.

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Able to initiate, execute and manage effective systems that better communicate to people
- Able to mobilize teams in order to accomplish a mission
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects/systems simultaneously
- Results-focused leadership with persuasive interpersonal skills adaptable to a variety of personalities and situations
- Professional in speech, conduct and presentation, worthy of representing Lifecentre well in all organizational and city-wide interactions
- Able to manage budgets for maximum impact
PRIMARY DUTY: The Ministry Assistant (Worship Leader) is a temporary, one-year contract position created to provide coverage during an employee’s approved parental leave. Reporting to the Campus Pastor, this role is responsible for ministering to the congregation of The Life Centre Christian Fellowship Church with a primary focus on the Lifecentre Kanata Campus. The Ministry Assistant will oversee and champion all aspects of the worship ministry, including music, audio, video, lighting, creative elements, and volunteer teams, while ensuring all worship environments reflect Lifecentre’s mission, values, and culture. This position requires strong organizational, administrative, and leadership abilities to effectively plan, coordinate, and execute weekly worship operations with excellence and consistency.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Ministry Assistant's main focus of responsibilities include:

1. Model Biblical Priorities
Responsible for upholding Biblical priorities and core values of Lifecentre. They should represent a growing personal relationship with Jesus. The Ministry Assistant should model a strong relationship with his or her spouse (if married) and children (if applicable). They strive to fulfill his or her purpose in life and ministry while demonstrating integrity in words, relationships and actions.
2. Oversight and Execution of Worship Experiences (80%)
Responsible for all aspects of worship ministry at the Lifecentre Kanata Campus, which includes but is not limited to leading and executing Sunday worship experiences, overseeing teams, scheduling teams, training team members, collaborating on set lists, leading rehearsals, communicating with volunteers and staff and contributing to service planning.
3. Contribute to and Support the Continued Growth of Lifecentre (20%)
Support the Campus Pastor in Ministry execution at Lifecentre.

1. Model Biblical Priorities
- Committing to a daily quiet-time with God
- Participating in a Lifecentre small group regularly
- Setting appropriate boundaries to protect character and integrity
- Developing personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the church
- Modelling servanthood and generosity through time, talent and treasure
- Adhering to and encompassing the qualities and characteristics required of Lifecentre employees, as defined by the Lifestyle Manual
2. Oversight and Execution of Worship Experiences (80%)
Responsible for all aspects of worship ministry at the Lifecentre, Kanata Campus, which includes but is not limited to:
- Responsible for programming, leading, and curating unforgettable and meaningful moments of worship for people to experience life each weekend.
- Working alongside the worship team on Sunday mornings on stage at the Kanata Campus
- Selecting a Worship ‘Set-list’ in coordination with other campuses
- Recruit and schedule teams via Planning Centre to serve each Sunday
- Oversight of a weekly rehearsal and Sunday morning worship services
- Communicate weekly with the Campus pastor on service flow and direction
- Lead a Campus ‘Worship Night’ as needed
- Available for monthly ‘Service Planning Meetings’ (2nd Wednesday of each month at 11:00am)
3. Contribute to and Support the Continued Growth of Lifecentre (20%)
Responsible for being a team player who continually looks for ways to make Lifecentre better, this includes but is not limited to:
- Assist in developing ideas and content for our services and events
- Available to assist with any unexpected weddings or funerals
