Your Impact at LAURIN

As a Project Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the planning, coordination, and successful execution of ICI construction projects. Working closely with Project Managers, site teams, consultants, and sub‑trades, you will help ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract documents, safety standards, and client expectations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced general contracting environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Estimating team with tender closings, as needed.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with sub-trades, consultants, and internal project teams.
  • Prepare, submit, and track Requests for Information (RFIs) to ensure timely resolution of design and scope clarifications.
  • Review, process, and distribute project changes (Site Instructions, Contemplated Change Notices, Change Orders).
  • Review, submit, and manage shop drawings and submittals, ensuring alignment with contract documents and sustainability requirements.
  • Apply for and obtain Notice of Project for all designated projects.
  • Prepare and issue Purchase Orders for subcontractors and suppliers as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Source and qualify suppliers and subcontractors as requested by the Project Manager.
  • Attend site meetings and issue meeting minutes when required.
  • Receive, price, implement, and coordinate all project changes with the Project Manager.
  • Assist the Project Manager with the monthly billing cycle and progress documentation.
  • Oversee project completion and close-out activities, including preparation of Operations & Maintenance manuals for submission.
  • Manage smaller projects as directed and supervised by the Project Manager.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in the General Contracting Field, specifically the ICI sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive decision-making.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office, MS Project, Primavera, Adobe-Pro, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction contracts, drawings, and specifications.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

Education & Professional Credentials

  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related experience.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP or LEED are considered assets.


Security Clearance

  • Reliability Status required (Secret preferred) or the ability and willingness to obtain the appropriate clearance.


Estimated Compensation

The salary range for this role is $65,000 — $85,000, based on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed in your personalized offer.
