As a Digital Construction Manager within our Innovation team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of design and construction. Your expertise in BIM (Building Information Modeling) and VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) will support project teams in delivering large-scale building and infrastructure projects. You will drive technological adoption and innovation to optimize project execution and efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Implement and optimize BIM/VDC processes with project teams.
- Develop protocols for communication, data exchange, and 3D workspace integration.
- Develop and manage a digital construction team that aligns with the growth of the company.
- Coordinate BIM content with designers and trades.
- Draft BIM-related contract language for tender packages.
- Mentor teams on BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
- Create 4D simulations for Virtual and Augmented Reality applications.
- Monitor industry trends and be ready to integrate technologies like Drones and laser scanning when appropriate.
- Validate virtual models and support construction-site logistics planning.
- Manage trade detailing and design deliverables.
- Integrate VDC tools into project planning and estimating processes.
- Ensure model compliance, coordination, and adherence to project standards.
- Facilitate trade partner collaboration and manage project kickoff meetings.
- Support RFI documentation and advocate for digital construction tools.
- Promote and integrate emerging technologies into operational processes.
Skills:
- 3-5 years of BIM experience in construction, architecture, or engineering.
- Degree, diploma, or certificate in architecture, engineering, construction, or MEP technology.
- Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, MS Project).
- Strong knowledge of construction sequences, building components, and coordination.
- Experience with 3D modeling, 4D scheduling, and virtual construction tools.
- Ability to interpret 2D/3D drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational and communication skills for trade coordination.
- Familiarity with construction model scope assessment and documentation.
Education: Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field (architecture, engineering, construction, or MEP technology).
