Remote – North America | Full-time

6 month contract

Overview

We’re looking for a sharp, culturally aware Social Media Manager to elevate how LaunchGood shows up online. You’ll bring fresh energy, creative instincts, and a strong grasp of internet culture — all through a lens that understands both Western trends and the Muslim community we serve.

This role blends bold creativity with everyday consistency. You’ll have the freedom to experiment, take risks, and tap into moments — while also driving clear, intentional social strategies that strengthen our brand and grow our audience.

If you live and breathe social, can spot trends before they peak, and know how to balance fun with purpose, we’d love to meet you.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and publish high-quality content across LaunchGood’s social channels, balancing innovative ideas with dependable, brand-aligned posts.
  • Engage directly with relevant creators, brands, influencers, and community accounts — and participate in cultural moments where it makes sense for LaunchGood.
  • Tap into trends, memes, cultural conversations, and platform shifts with confidence and good judgment.
  • Bring a strong understanding of both Western digital culture and the Muslim cultural context — knowing what resonates, what doesn’t, and why.
  • Manage a content calendar that blends experimentation, brand storytelling, and platform best practices.
  • Partner with Brand, Marketing, and Design to bring campaigns, features, and stories to life in social-first formats.
  • Track performance, learn from data, and adjust direction quickly.
  • Help shape LaunchGood’s voice on social to be more human, relatable, bold, and engaging.

What we’re looking for

  • This role is open to candidates at various stages in their career, including those early in their journey. We value talent, taste, and cultural fluency above tenure.
  • You understand and actively follow cultural trends, memes, internet moments, and platform dynamics — and know how to adapt them with cultural sensitivity.
  • Strong feel for storytelling, pacing, and relevance across multiple formats (short-form video, image, text, carousels, etc.).
  • Ability to balance creative risk-taking with responsible brand judgment.
  • Capable of mainstream social media execution: consistent posting, community engagement, analytics, scheduling, and content planning.
  • Clear writer and communicator who understands tone, timing, and audience nuance.
  • Familiarity with the Muslim community, its cultural landscape, and the broader Western context.
  • Comfortable working fast, staying plugged in, and shifting quickly when needed.
