Finance Analyst

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive accounting professional to strengthen our global finance operations. In this role, you’ll take ownership of key aspects of our month-end close, financial reporting, and process automation — ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across multiple entities and currencies. You’ll work closely with teams across Payments, Operations, and Business Development to keep our financial systems running smoothly while helping scale LaunchGood’s impact through data-driven insights and streamlined accounting processes. Key Responsibilities

• Own assigned areas of the month-end close cycle — including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Reconcile key accounts (cash, revenue, prepaid, deferred revenue, liabilities, and intercompany).
• Maintain integrity of the general ledger across entities and currencies (USD, GBP, CAD).
• Support preparation of consolidated financial statements and management reports.
• Document and streamline accounting procedures to help reduce close timelines to 7 days.
  
  

• Support the AR cycle by reviewing and recording invoices, applying payments, and reconciling outstanding balances from Campaign Creators (CCs).
• Assist with automation of direct debit and SmartEFT payment processes.
• Help monitor AP processing, vendor payments, and ensure expense accuracy.
• Collaborate with Payments and BizDev teams to align invoice timing, approvals, and recognition.
  
  

• Assist in developing financial models, forecasts, and variance analysis to support decision-making.
• Perform trend and scenario analysis to support cash flow planning and budgeting cycles (Gregorian and Hijri).
• Create dashboards and management reports summarizing KPIs, performance metrics, and entity-level summaries.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Ops, Payments, Data, PeopleOps) to translate financial insights into strategic actions.
• Support the annual audit by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
  
  

• Help configure and maintain financial automation in Sage Intacct and related tools (SmartEFT, Velixo, etc.).
• Contribute to COA mapping, fund segmentation logic, and data validation during ERP integration.
• Assist in building Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recurring accounting and reporting tasks.
• Identify inefficiencies in data flow and propose system improvements or integrations.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA track preferred).
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, multi-entity accounting, and financial consolidations.
• Experience with accounting software (Sage Intacct, QuickBooks).
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups).
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and curiosity to improve processes.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across departments and time zones.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Experience in fintech, nonprofit, or crowdfunding organizations.
• Exposure to multi-currency, multi-entity accounting.
• Familiarity with fund accounting or restricted/unrestricted fund tracking.
• Experience with payment processors (Adyen, CurrencyCloud, PayPal) or financial APIs.
