About the Role
LaunchGood is seeking a Chief of Staff (CoS) to support our executive team and maximize our COO's impact by leading strategic initiatives that drive company growth. The CoS will partner directly with our COO, maintain a pulse on the leadership team, lead special projects, serve as a trusted sounding board for strategic discussions, and facilitate company-wide communication.
In this role, you'll gain deep insight into how a COO thinks, prioritizes, and executes. However, the position isn't always about highly visible work—it often requires collaborating in the trenches with our team to truly understand the company's heartbeat and operations. The role thrives on ambiguity and adaptability, constantly evolving to meet the organization's needs.
What You'll Do
- Oversee strategic business initiatives from conception through successful execution under the guidance of our COO and senior executive team
- Represent our COO and company at international industry events and partnership meetings (travel required)
- Foster cross-functional collaboration and clear communication between the Executive team and wider organization, ensuring strategic goals are understood and pursued across all departments
- Design, document, and implement systems and processes that improve alignment, communication, and execution across the senior executive team and company
- Develop and present data-driven analyses and recommendations to the COO for high-stakes decisions, accounting for potential risks and business impact
- Monitor achievement of company goals, following up with the leadership team as necessary and offering actionable suggestions for improvement
- Manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, developing efficient strategies for stakeholder engagement
- Assist our COO and senior executive team in building the strategy and direction of LaunchGood
What You'll Bring
- At least 5 years of experience in a business management role, with Chief of Staff, VP of Operations, Program Director, or management consulting experience strongly preferred
- Strong general business skills and acumen – MBA preferred
- Strong project management skills - PMP (or similar) preferred
- Startup experience required
- Proven ability to track, prioritize, and drive multiple concurrent projects to success
- Exceptional organization, analytical and strategic approach to growing a business
- Strong ability to work with numbers and financial models – advanced finance and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills – both written and oral, with ability to present to large audiences and various stakeholders
- Adaptability and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
- Discretion in handling sensitive information and discussions
- Strong relationship building skills across all levels of the organization and externally
- Proactive "can-do" attitude with willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and take initiative

Reporting Structure
- Reports directly to the COO
Location & Travel
- Ideally work side-by-side with our COO in our Toronto.
- Willingness to travel
