About the Role

We're building a world-class financial product and we need someone to help enhance our risk & compliance procedures at Koho. Our team is growing fast, and we’re looking for a VP of Risk Management to join our team in Toronto. As the VP of Compliance & Risk Management will play a critical role in ensuring a consistent and integrated approach is applied to risk governance. You will work collaboratively with the VP of Finance to oversee the management of various forms of risk within Koho.

Requirements

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and improvement of Koho’s risk management program in support of risk policies and procedures required by FINTRAC;
  • Advise on improvements to product development and communications to maintain compliance (AML/KYC/CTF) and fraud programs;
  • Provide ongoing updates and deliverables on risk strategies to the Executive Team;
  • Ensure Compliance and Fraud programs are in line with current industry best practices;
  • Assist the VP Finance in preparing monthly financial reports, including variance and other analysis to support strategic decision making;
  • Strong risk management experience in AML Compliance or regulatory compliance related activities;
  • Deep knowledge of risk quantification methodologies.
  • 4+ years of experience in related field
  • Previous online fraud avoidance experience such as phishing, payments and identity authentication, preferred
