About The Role:

Journey is looking for an experienced and driven sales professional to join our fast-growing team. The Sales Development Representative, also known as our Learning Advisor, will be responsible for facilitating prospective students through our application, admissions and enrolment process. You will uncover the wants and needs of a prospective student by asking a series of well thought out questions. In turn, you will help the student determine if our courses are the right fit for them. You will primarily work with our Concordia Bootcamps and Bluebird product, expanding into other products as needed. In this role, you will help drive significant growth for the brand and have a direct impact on changing peoples lives through education.

This is a full-time, remote salaried position.

Position Start Date: July 11, 2022


  • Support students through the admissions process, converting leads into enrolments
  • Work closely with the Business Development Manager and other Learning Advisors to continuously improve on the sales cycle
  • You must be comfortable working with quotas such as emails/dials per day, and number of closed won deals
  • Manage a pipeline of prospects and opportunities and track all customer interactions in a CRM (Hubspot)
  • Advising students using a consultative process to ensure the student has all the information to make an informed decision
  • Learn about our courses and clearly communicate their value proposition to prospective students
  • Proactively manage and respond to a high volume of prospective students by email and phone
  • Interview prospective students to ensure that their qualifications and interests¬†are a match for our courses
  • Identify opportunities and test strategies to improve yield of high-quality candidates


  • English required, French an asset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • 2-4 years of sales experience managing complex sales cycles (consultative sales, consumer sales, enterprise sales/partnerships, admissions or recruiting)
  • Previous experience using a CRM and experience with forecasting and pipeline management (ideally Hubspot)
  • Exceptional closing skills while still remaining welcoming, understanding, and empathetic
  • Experience in the education or technology industry is an asset
