ABOUT THE JOB:

As a Clinical Coordinator, you will lead and support therapeutic counselling services for youth and young adults within the Foundry model. This role blends clinical leadership and direct service delivery, ensuring care is youth-centered, culturally responsive, and grounded in evidence-informed practices.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Service Delivery 

  • Provide individual and group counselling using evidence-informed, culturally relevant approaches
  • Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and support clients in achieving personal and relational goals
  • Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams through case planning
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation

Program Operation Oversight 

  • Oversee day-to-day counselling services at Foundry Kamloops
  • Ensure alignment with Foundry BC’s integrated stepped care model
  • Support policy implementation, program evaluation, and continuous improvement
  • Assist with outreach and off-site service coordination

Staff Leadership & Supervision 

  • Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and guidance to counselling staff
  • Facilitate team meetings and foster a collaborative environment
  • Support onboarding and professional development of team members
  • Supervise practicum students and support their learning

Collaboration, Partnerships & Program Development 

  • Build strong relationships with community partners across health, education, and social services
  • Represent Foundry Kamloops in community and provincial initiatives
  • Promote integrated, youth-focused care across teams

EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERIENCE:

  • Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology or Social Work
  • Registered with, or eligible for registration with, one of the following regulatory bodies:
    • Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, or
    • Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the BC College of Social Workers
  • Minimum 3 years of counselling experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership capacity
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, and ABILITIES:

  • Strong counselling skills grounded in trauma-informed, youth-centered, and culturally safe practices
  • Experience with risk assessment, crisis intervention, and integrated case management
  • Ability to lead, coach, and support a team in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
  • Knowledge of therapeutic approaches such as DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy
  • Commitment to creating inclusive, anti-oppressive, and culturally safe environments
  • Strong organizational skills, including documentation, data tracking, and reporting


REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid BC Class 5 driver’s licence with a safe driving record
  • Reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance for work travel
  • Ability to travel locally with occasional evening availability
  • Union membership required (1.85% dues)
  • Successful background check required
  • Following training is required and provided to the successful candidate free of charge. Existing certification is an asset: Emergency First Aid with CPR-C, SafeTALK, Mandt (RCT), Privacy & Information Sharing, Anti-Bullying & Harassment, Abuse & Neglect Awareness, and Foundry-specific training


PROGRAM: Foundry Kamloops

LOCATION: Kamloops, BC

STATUS: Part-time

HOURS of WORK: 30 hours per week

SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday. Primarily during standard office hours of 8:30 am–4:30 pm, including 1–2 evening(s) per week, up to 7:00 pm, to accommodate low-barrier youth access to services.

ON-CALL: Availability to participate in an after‑hours on‑call rotation to respond to after‑hours emergencies.

REPORTS TO: Foundry Manager

COMPENSATION: This position is a blended role. The compensation is structured to reflect the distribution of duties:

  • 22.5 hours are compensated at Grid 17-P ($45.52–$57.90 per hour) for clinical coordination and supervision
  • 7.5 hours are compensated at Grid 16-P ($44.54–$54.52 per hour) for direct counselling delivery
