INKspire is a non-profit organization that strives to empower youth voices by providing a curated web platform where young people can share their ideas and perspectives on various relevant and contemporary issues across Canada and around the world. INKspire hopes to encourage youth engagement in current global affairs and provide opportunities for young writers, journalists, and artists to showcase their talents.

Marketing Director

The Marketing Director is responsible for leading the marketing team, ensuring the success of INKspire’s social media and newsletter campaigns and establishing partnerships and maintaining partnerships with other youth and arts organizations.

Roles & Responsibilities:


Strategic Planning & Oversight

  • Collaborate with the Co-Executive Directors and Board of Directors to develop an annual marketing strategy aligned with INKspire’s mission, priorities, and growth objectives.
  • Design and implement social media and newsletter marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and audience engagement.


Team Leadership & Delegation

  • Provide high-level oversight of team progress, delegating tasks and ensuring deadlines are met and that performance indicators are tracked consistently.
  • Coordinate weekly team meetings and communicate relevant updates to team members.
  • Provide timely feedback and ongoing support to team members. 
  • Conduct regular check-ins with each lead to offer support, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure accountability.
  • Screen, interview, and onboard new volunteers in the marketing team.

Desired Qualifications

  • Education and/or experience in marketing, or a related field. 
  • Experience leading teams, addressing challenges, and providing strategic advice.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Passionate about youth leadership and empowerment.


The successful volunteer will work remotely from home for 5-7 hours a week. Volunteers must be able to commit to this position for a minimum of 1 year and be located in Canada.
