We are looking for an experienced, highly technical Product Manager who is passionate about driving a world-class technology platform that supports high-growth, high value applications across the largest Connected Truck platform in North America. In this role, you will work with other product teams, platform architects, operations teams, and external partners to own and execute against a platform roadmap. Your portfolio includes core shared capabilities that span across cloud, mobile and embedded technologies – creating the building blocks for our market-leading safety, compliance and data services. Success is measured by your team’s ability to scale existing products without sacrificing quality of service, while unlocking new technical capabilities that expand the Drivewyze portfolio.


This is both a strategic and tactical product role. You will need to work very closely with architects to drive buy/build/partner decisions on key platform needs, and work closely with your team to break down objectives into achievable initiatives and articulate user stories that ensure deliverables meet the needs of the market.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product/Technology leadership on product strategy and vision
  • Translate the strategy into objectives and initiatives for the platform engineering team
  • Develop and maintain a story backlog that supports iterative agile practices
  • Collaborate with architects on platform architecture, translating architecture into your teams’ objectives, initiatives, and stories
  • Champion platform concepts and utility across all engineering teams
  • Collaborate with product and release managers on platform release initiatives
  • Ensure there is cross-team visibility and alignment on platform objectives and roadmaps
  • Collaborate with Technical Writers to produce appropriate internal/external documentation
  • Drive adoption and retention for your products that meet business objectives

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in computer science, business, engineering or related field; or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience across Product Management, Software Development or QA.
  • Experience with team leadership (Preferably as a Product Manager or Product Owner)
  • Passion for working with developers and architects to creatively solve problems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and effectively communicate them to a non-technical audience
  • Strong understanding of complex software technology platforms – across SaaS, IoT, Embedded, Data software solutions
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to strive for stretch goals
