DOG DESCRIPTION

Trooper is a brave boy who survived living on the streets being blind in one eye. While searching for food, he accidentally ate some sponge and fishing net, causing serious intestinal problems

By the time he arrived at Happy Doggo in August 2025, he needed urgent surgery, so we sent him to a hospital in Bangkok. During the operation, 12 centimetres of his intestine were removed, it was extremely serious and poor Trooper is lucky to be alive. After surgery, he returned to Happy Doggo for aftercare and treatment. He has made a fantastic recovery but he does need a little extra help to stay healthy

Trooper has a strong appetite and needs close monitoring to prevent him from eating food or foreign objects from the ground. He requires a special diet of kibble and fibrous food, divided into three daily meals: morning, midday, and evening. He also receives medication to support his pancreas.

Trooper is a young dog with a lot of puppy energy. He gets along well with calm and low-energy dogs. He loves human attention and is best suited for an adopter with an active lifestyle. Today, Trooper is recovering well and ready for a new life. He has already shown how strong he is and is now hoping for a loving home either in Thailand or internationally, where he will never have to struggle again.

Sex: Male
Approximate Age: 2-3 years old

To adopt a dog from Thailand, the approximate costs are between USD $2,000-$3,500. This could fluctuate slightly depending on the destination, the weight of the dog, and the airline; however, we will always be 100% transparent with the costs and would let you know immediately should any changes need to be made.

Should you be successful in adopting one of our dogs, we will require a deposit of $500. This fee will cover living arrangements until their departure, vaccines and paperwork.

The final payment will be used for their travel crate, transportation fees to Bangkok (where the dogs will need to stay for 2-3 nights for a final vet visit and flight certificate), and the flight to their forever home.
