Lionel Messi (Leo)
Adoptable DogsFull TimeUS, UK, Europe, Thailand
Lionel Messi (affectionately called Leo) is a brave and resilient dog. He was found in the jungle with his front left paw hanging off. We’re unsure exactly how he sustained the injury—he could have been hit by a car, attacked, or caught in a trap a while ago. He went through an amputation surgery to remove part of his leg to prevent further complications.
Since then, Leo has had to undergo a second amputation surgery. He is now recovering with us.
Leo would not be suited to a home with other male dogs. An ideal owner would have experience with disabled dogs, but the most important thing is having the time and patience to help him adjust to life as a tripod dog.
Despite having only 3 legs Leo still loves to play and is as active as any other dog.
Sex: Male
Approximate Age: 5 years old
Weight: 19.5kg
Ideal Home
Leo would not be suited to a home with other male dogs. An ideal owner would have experience with disabled dogs, but the most important thing is having the time and patience to help him learn how to use his prosthesis. Leo is a high energy dog that loves nothing more than playing and going for walks!

To adopt a dog from Thailand, the approximate costs are between USD $2,000-$3,500. This could fluctuate slightly depending on the destination, the weight of the dog, and the airline; however, we will always be 100% transparent with the costs and would let you know immediately should any changes need to be made.
Should you be successful in adopting one of our dogs, we will require a deposit of $500. This fee will cover living arrangements until their departure, vaccines and paperwork.
The final payment will be used for their travel crate, transportation fees to Bangkok (where the dogs will need to stay for 2-3 nights for a final vet visit and flight certificate), and the flight to their forever home.
